Default Which Program

I want to create an A4 size poster for printing but only have Fireworks 8 and its not very good, whats a good program to use?

Quark, InDesign, even Illustrator can be used for page layout. If you really need to slum it you could even use that MS program, four letters begins with a W.

Not ideal but Photoshop could also be used.

If you are on a budget there are numerous free applications that can handle this. We have compiled a list here: Free Artwork Design Software

Have a look at Scribus for this task.

Illustrator is good...but it would be more cost effective to get it professionally designed if you can stretch your budget.
