Kiosk / Retail Design - Hoping somebody could help me with this client question - They want to work out the combustibility of a Kiosk

"We need somebody to calculate the fire loading and combustibility rate per square metre for one of our mid mall specialty leasing kiosks. The landlord is asking for this and we currently don't have the required information. Would you be able to calculate this for us and if so what are the costs? The kiosk weighs 200 kilograms and the footprint is 4m x 2m"

Okay, so that was the question put to be me by a client. I'm not even sure this is a design question or more of a regulation question. Could anyone offer any insight onto this one? I have rang up a few kiosk design companies and they don't know either.

Thanks

Never had to do it, sounds like a US thing so found a link
.

Seems fairly simple if you know what the weights and calories are in all honesty but I personally wouldn't class this as a 'graphic' design question, although it is something that 'might' pop up in industrial design and the likes. Having said that even when I was at uni I don't think this type of question was covered so it's likely a specialist or engineering question imo.

Also as it's a 'fire' question maybe try and get in touch with the local fire brigade and ask them if they know where you'd need to go.... not on 999 obviously lol

I wondered if it was something to do with a different industry, I had no idea personally whether it was something I was supposed to know and have never been involved with. at least now I can tell them it's not a design thing as such. Thank you for helping out. :-D
