Need help designing logo.

Hi which software should I use for redesigning this logo. I tried adobe illustrator and Photoshop but did not get the expected result. How can it be done in illustrator ? please help

It can be done quite easily in Illustrator - for a trained professional. As you found it, it's not easy when you are not a trained professional.

Yeah I can trace the logo. But I cant add the 3d effects on it.

By redesigning do you mean copying?
or is there some element you want to change and are having difficulty with .
The lighting, to give it depth, could be done in Adobe illustrator, for example on the red face of the mortice bowl add a circle shape above it, filled with a radial gradient and in the gradient panel
set from white 100% opacity at one end to white 0% opacity at the other end.
