Dog walking company logo

I like the idea
the middle black one works best,
but most dogs have same length front and back legs.
The top and bottom trys are just terrible..

Guys and gals please keep the criticism constructive. No prob if you don't like it. But do explain why and what can be improved.

ThanksThanks

I totally get your concept behind it which is really imaginative but I doubt that the best designer in the world could make the idea work and make it into something that would work as a logo.

I've seen quite a few things done using a silhouette with the text kind of bent inside it which may work better.

These are are not the best examples but you'll get the idea.

What Scotty says. I think the only way it would work is with hand-drawn lettering.

Agreed... start with outline of dog. And hand draw in the letters to fill the space. Mama Bear logo above is a great example.

Yes, but reduce that logo down to 28 x 28px and put it in a favicon and it no longer works. Same if you have the logo in the header on a mobile phone - it's could be so small you can no longer read the words

So you may need a range of different logos to cover all device and printed media options.

Over 70% of all non-business browsing is now done on mobile phones. So things need to work on tiny screens.

Honestly? It's awful. It's not even recognisable as a dog, I think you need to hire a professional.

Your silhouette needs to be something like the attached for starters.

The only way you'll get the lettering look like legs is maybe with a sausage dog.

You are trying way too hard to create something that isn't going to work well. Reduce your latest logo to 40px high and you will see what I mean.

PS: it looks like someone on all fours in a compromising position.

Honestly, it looks like a 2 minute Photoshop job. The text is ugly and illegible, and it won't scale down to small sizes.

I would just pick a nice font, whack your name in that and spend your time and energy on marketing your business. I'm not being rude, I understand that you want a clever logo like this, but you're cheapening the whole image of your business by trying to do it yourself. Producing a complex logo like this takes time and experience.

Like he said, reduce that example down to 40px high and you will it just doesn’t work.

I also agree it looks like something done a junior school art class.
