Exchanging services

Skin Treatments

I do apology if this is not the right place to post it, please redirect me if necessary. I base in London, I'm high profile Aesthetic Skin Specialist and I need few online marketing jobs done, but first the logo. I'm looking for someone, who will be happy to exchange the services. Let me know please, if you need more details:)

Hello, are you looking for a Skill Swap? Is it solely because you want to provide a service for a service without having to pay design fees or do you have a budget?

You might find someone that may be interested in your proposal but most of us require payment for our services, as I'm sure you do with your business. If you are a high profile Aesthetic Skin Specialist, I would question as to why paying for our design services may not be an option? Unless it is of course :)

Hi, thank you for your message. I understand the advert I made is not clear enough. The reason may be that I'm very basic with all online rrlated technologies, but I'm learning all the time.
I do charge for my services, of course. I'm also doing a lot of charity work, mainly to Black/Asian comunities- victims of abuse. I'm not charity organisation and this information is not public anywhere or used for business.
I wish to have the money in my hand to pay by money, but I don't. The reason for that is I lost everything material. I'm a single mather with no support. I was building my own practice for 4 years and it is stolen now by not honest partner. Shall I provide you with the paper work in here too?
The proposition I made is open for everyone who may show up in London. I'm not trying to be cleaver to get someones job for free or cheaper. I offer time swap, so if you work for 10h on my logo i will give you back 10h in treatments of your choice. I know not everyone can afford £2500 on scar removal f.g. and the job I will recive will be wort probably much less. I don't judge what for you will go for- life changing treatment or pure humanoid fashion/trend created need. I'm having straight roles at work, and I don't do anything for money. If the client is overdone already somwwhere else is sent back. Shall I take the money anyway to pay the logo??
As you probably noticed living in London if you are not online you dont exsist, doesn't matter how good you are. Im starting from scratches again. I'm doing the job on my on learning and trying, started to build the website by myself, but im also working for agency now and im a mother, so will take me probably a year to bring it to the stage I want, becose of my pure skills and lack of time. This you can also see at: https://janinanowak.wixsite.com/newone. Of corse still under constracyion. Not sure if you know market and economics on London, if you know what a lobby is?
I understand where you question is coming from and after my own experiences my left hand doesn't belive the right one.
Not that long ago exchange was general form of business and in some country's and communities still as reality, not scansen. Im from Poland and im talking about Europe now.
I don't see nothing wrong in my advert, apart of it is for me dehumilating asking by that way, as I'm expecting this kind of messages.
Wish you you will live in world with out money, wouldn't world be better then?

I'm sorry, I appreciate there is a bit of a language barrier so I don't really understand some of the points you are trying to make, albeit I think I get the general gist of it.

There is nothing wrong with asking for a Skill Swap (as linked previously) we even have a section for it on the forums, as you may see. I was just making a point that you may find it difficult to find someone that is interested in your skillset and that is also from London or happy to travel to London for the exchange of services. Most of us designers would prefer to be paid. Logo design together with 'marketing jobs' can take weeks, if not months to complete, depending on the requirements of the brief. It all depends whether you want to get the ball rolling asap, or if you have the time and patience to wait for x-amount of time to see if a designer is interested in having their skin treated in the exchange.

You are basically limiting yourself to the few (if any) designers that may be willing to accept your proposal and having to settle for one of them regardless of their expertise, compared to the option that cold, hard cash will give you, which is the countless amount of designers you will be able to look into, check out their portfolios and determine whether they are professional and suited for the job(s) at hand.

With regards to your comment about the value of design, or how much it is worth compared to what you are offering, I guess that simply comes down to how much you value your business. As the saying goes, you get what you pay for.

Wish you you will live in world with out money, wouldn't world be better then?

I'd like to think so yes, but the fact is, in reality, we do not live in a world void of money. Us designers need to eat, pay bills and look after our families too.

I wish you the best of luck and I hope you do find a reputable London based designer, who requires skin treatment.

I actually quite like that system of exchanging services and have done it a few times and I find it works pretty well.
It's just a case of matching what you can offer with someone that need your skills.

Unfortunately, I'm based in the North and I have a radiant complexion.

Wish you all the best.
