Wordpress Website

I have just set up (well trying to set up) a wordpress website. I find that a lot of the themes available aren't really that customisable. Does anyone here use Dreamweaver to edit the files then upload back into WP?

Are there other opetions to do this other than Dreamweaver?

You can use the Wordpress editor to edit PHP and CSS files, but I wouldn't if you don't know what you're doing. Alternatively any text editor will work, but again you need to know what you're doing. You could always try a theme like Salient that lets you build pages using an in-built editor.

Would you recommend Salient over Make?

I'll check Salient out now. Thanks :) I have opened the stylesheet in the editor within WP but I cannot find the bit I need to edit. I know it is definitely in the style.css file though. It is driving me bananas! I have used Dreamweaver before and have found a few tutorials on editing WP themes in DW using a local host, so at the moment that is the route I am going down.

I didn't find the Make theme to be that good. Maybe I am just doing it wrong!

I have just had a look at Salient. It looks really good actually. So with this theme, you can customise it anyway you want? I have tried the siteorigin editor but find it a bit confusing. Is this editor easier to use?

Make seems a little more user friendly, Salient is powerful but a lot of the customisation comes from knowing how to use CSS to style the site.

Pretty much, so long as you know what you're doing (and have patience). Check out some Salient examples.

Thanks. I'll check out Themify today. I have also come across pagebuilder pro by pootle press which looks really good! It's $99 though!
