Hey, I'm a student currently studying a degree in illustration in commercial application and I am in the midst of producing my dissertation. I was wondering if any of you guys could help fill out a survey for me to help me get some more research and information for me to use in my dissertation. If you would kindly follow the web link below and fill out the survey that would be a big help and much appreciated.

Thanks Ciaron

Is it just me? I think you ought to rethink some, if not all of those questions. The first three are basically the same.
The last two are badly written, and overall I can't see how they can possibly help you write a dissertation.

Hi, yeah I did realise that there may be some spelling errors in some of the questions, but I'm unsure as to how they won't help me in writing a dissertation. Any pointers as to why you think that ?

Because my first three answers would be 'I've had a talent for drawing from an early age', and the last
two would be 'Not really'. Maybe I'm just not being creative enough! What's the title of your dissertation?

The title is 'Why do people motivate themselves into and through a career in illustration?' but this was approved by my lecturers, I'm looking at theories such as Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs and Intrinsic and Extrinsic Motivation. Perhaps I just need to read further into the subjects as my lecturers did say that I did need a large quantity of results to use it in my dissertation as viable evidence

'Why' would be obvious, surely? 'How' might be better. I'll leave it to others to comment on the dissertation.

why did you choose the illustration path?
by choosing that path, what does it give you as an individual?
what drives / sparks your creative flow?
as an illustrator where do you see you self in five years / 10 years in you career?
if you didn't do illustration what do you think you would do instead?

maybe this would help? i'm not sure just a little bored at work and thought id try and help...
