Could someone please give feedback on this logo design please?

This logo was made using a practice brief, which was from a charity that wanted a new logo design for a charity campaign called 'splash your cash' which was in aid of helping deliver clean water. The charity was called WaterWater, and wanted their name included in the logo somewhere. They wanted the logo to be unique, so after doing some reaserch into other charities in the same field, finding that they focused on having one single drop of water, I decided to go with the splash of water, which fitted the title.

I got the idea for the splash splashing from the charity box when looking at the title 'Splash Your Cash'. I wanted the campaign title to stand out, so I used a triad colour scheme when designing the banner. I am an amateur graphic designer, and any helpful critisism would be amazingly helpful. This design took 4.5 days to complete, which was the guided time to be spent on the project.

My target audience for the project was not a specific demographic. This is because charity is something that appeals to everyone. Due to this I used bright colours with a relativly neautral typeface. I wanted to keep the design looking simple, with a minimalist feel.

Thank you for your time if you have got to the end of this :)

What's this for? Is Splash the Cash the main name, or is it Water Water? It's not clear.

I'd also work in a single colour so you can see where you need to add breaks. Currently the banner merges into the whole shape. Don't rely on colour for differentiation between elements because you can never be sure if your logo will always be viewed in those colours or by someone with perfect vision.

Looks like a logo for a game show.

What other concepts did you come up with? Can you post any of your sketches?
I will post the sketches later, but I liked the idea of having the charity box with a splash coming from it. The client was keen to have a badge or crest style logo, so I was thinking of having the banner, with the charity box illustration above and water droplets creating a crest shape round the side

The charity is called WaterWater and the campaign is called Splash Your Cash. Maybe could I move the banner underneath and move the water water section? Would you say the illustration is okay?

Would you say the illustration is okay?

This is the issue I have with it; it is more of an illustration than a logo.

Splash Your Cash has a higher hierarchy than WaterWater, it should be the other way around if the charity is called WaterWater.

If it is meant to be a logo design, I would suggest simplifying it down further.

Good work so far considering you are new to design. I look forward to seeing more.

Thank you very much for for your feedback, I will simplify it down, I understand where you are coming from

I reread the brief, they want a unique brand for the campaign, it says they want a piece of artwork for the campaign, preferably in a badge style

If the Campaign is 'Splash the Cash' there's no harm in having that more prominent. I would - assuming they have one - use the proper WaterWater branding/logo as at the moment it's just water written twice and very separated - to an unknowing observer I wouldn't see it as the charity name. The principle of the collection tin/water works works fine.

So I just need to work on the layout as some of the shape elements merge like the banner and the collection tin and move the water water name a bit
