Doing my first tax return, brain melting, need help

I thought it'd be simple for a small operation like mine, but it gets more confusing the deeper you get. The obvious solution is just to phone the helpline and ask my specific questions, but I feel likee that's admitting defeat! At least I'm thinking about it now and not next January!

Doing my first tax return, brain melting, need help

I've got a free afternoon, so thought I'd get my tax return filled out (doing a rough on the paper form first, I'll do the final thing online). I've been keeping accounts of all my incoming and outgoing money, but trying to fill the form is proving to be really confusing what with all the...

Homebrew Beer Labels for Glasgow Beer Festival

My friend's organising Glasgow Beer Week, a week of beer related events in Glasgow (as you may have already guessed). He's looking for people who want to design or illustrate one of four homebrew beer labels for an event at West Brewing. It'd just be about 30 bottles printed on a laser printer...

    Design Logo - critique please

I think if you pick out the 'bullet' in colour on whichever you choose it'd look good.

Help! Any quick way of doing this?

Help! Any quick way of doing this?

Does anyone know a quick way of making photos look like they're on a 3d block, like this? I can do it the long way and split it up into three rectangles and put in a load skew effects on it, then darken and lighten each side, then apply a drop shadow, but there are 20 of them and I don't have...

    Poster Backgrounds

To do something like the picture you posted, get a big sheet of paper, tape the top to the wall, then let it gently curve onto the floor.

is there any joy for a graphic designer stuck in a printers.

That's the trouble I was having, as I work for a printers too. I now just work about 25 hours a week for them, then freelance the rest of the time. It's a good arrangement as I get to do more creative stuff and follow my own path, but still with some financial security from my old job.
