Needed a quick diversion to try something new. Gave it a go in a night and came up with this:
Scion Presents: the Freshly Squeezed Web Design Challenge
Lemme know what you think
I think it's because technically they are separate pages. If you want it to be a continous thing for a pdf maybe just combine the pages into one in another document.
We've been trying to diversify in the U.S. We started mostly with tech startups but have slowly expanded into the music/entertainment industry and education.
Sorry to hear it's happening everywhere :( Maybe I can learn Mandarin, lol.
I currently run a firm here in the US and we're experiencing a horrible economic meltdown at the moment which is causing a lot of issues with landing clients with actual money to spend. We get by just fine but everyone is slashing their budgets by about 30 - 50%.

Another vote for Font Explorer X. I used to have to use Suitcase at my old job and it made me want to shoot myself.
Also, putting all your fonts in your font folder is just asking for performance issues. Just activate the ones you need at the time and you'll see a difference.
One of the best things you can do to get work is to just keep creating visible projects. If you're just starting out and don't have any clients, then create your own projects based on things you love.
Just make sure you get the word about those projects and the rest will take care of itself.
