Thanks for your replies, guys. Its T and Cs for the business that I'm concerned about, although now that you've mentioned it, Salvador, I'll look at the website T and Cs as well! And I'll take a look at your web page, thanks, Helen.
I've just added a small piece on my blog recommending this forum. Have a look at: www.thinkography.blogspot.com
I'm revamping my website, and I'll also add a link to the forum when the update goes live.
Happy to help the cause!
My company, Thinkography, has been trading for 10 months now, and I still don't have a formal Terms and Conditions document drawn up. I'm worried this leaves me open to potential problems. Is this something I could create myself or do I need specialist legal advice? Does anyone know of any...
I think the key here is to only work for free if it is on your own terms. I would never do free work for someone who was looking to exploit me, but I have offered to work for free on a number of projects when I could see a benefit to me and my business. And, crucially, on projects that would not...
Not one of mine, unfortunately!

Usually I prefer simple websites – flash is overused in my opinion – and I normally dislike music on a site, but I think this website is stunning.
Thanks, Minuteman. Our overheads are small, and our work is good, so I'm optimistic we won't run into trouble, and the work we're doing will put us in a strong position to grow when things pick up.
Really glad to hear you and Boss Hog are both doing well.
We're very quiet, unfortunately. But we're only 9 months old and haven't built up a big customer base yet, so we rely too heavily on too few customers. So I'm working 7 days a week to get the company name out there and marketing like mad! I've actually never worked harder...
Thanks for your comments – I'll look at increasing the point size as you suggest. The portfolio page shifts as it is the only page that requires a scroll bar, the scroll bar appearing pushes it to the left. Its probably simple to stop this, but I'm still learning! I'll have another look at it...
I am an experienced print designer, but I'm relatively new to web design. I'd really appreciate any comments you have regarding my company's website, at: www.thinkography.com
I've aimed for simplicity and ease of use as much as style, so please let me know whether I've got it...
Hi everyone. I'd like to introduce myself, Danny Gosling, and my company, Thinkography. I've been designing since I graduated 15 years ago, mainly as a freelancer, before starting Thinkography in May last year.
We're small (just two of us) but developing fast. Our work includes graphic...
I would use your own name for now. I expect that you will be working as a freelancer/sole trader initially, and I think that your own name would be best for this type of work – its straightforward, honest, and probably just as memorable. When I worked as a freelancer I took the view...
