The 'Fag' board is great. I really do think it's doing stuff like this, using materials, experimenting etc that makes designers different from your everyday Photoshop, Illustrator user that portrays themselves as designers. It opens up creative freedom and in my opinion makes you creatively...
The name feels dates and a bit tacky in my opinion. I would have a re-think it reminds me of a cake shop from years ago when I was a kid called 'Buns By Betty'.
I can see this, however I do like the subtle i. It was the main focus really, and the sails are sometimes the same size in the middle of a yacht. But dont quote me on marine life the closest i've come to that is a paddle boat in Heaton Park lol

Thanks Linzi, They dont actually sell motor boats yet and not 100% sure if they will so maybe it does have to be really subtle? As they don't sell them yet, I don't want to be sending the message that they do surely?
Thanks for the comments
As it is only a maybe for the future, I have tried to subtly visualise a bow of the boat as well. It was a bit of a tricky task because they are still not sure on what direction they will take in the future.
I'm designing a logo for a company called iNAUTICA. They sell sail yachts and in the future maybe motor yachts. This is my thinking so far. What do you guys think?
Cheers

Fair point, but they type is handled a lot better and shows more style. I'm not slagging them off, just they could of been a lot better. There's a big different in minimalism and centred text through and through.
I'm not all that bothered, it just makes you realise that being a good designer isn't just having software skills and are able to align things correctly.
It's just a shame she didn't consult, she just wanted to save money designing it, it's a bit sad that I could of designed it and had it...
A while ago I did some work for a photographer and she was really happy with what I did for her.
She had recently been in contact saying she had designed her own business card, to my dismay!
On top of this she had paid a high amount to have them letter pressed. She emailed me for some...
Hi Boss, For me the bottom one is most striking although i'm not sure about the typeface for NCR. At the moment it seems a little 'alone' and doesn't belong to the logo. Apart from that it has the most potential by far.
I realised the other day it's been months since i've actually sat down and just messed around in Photoshop. After watching Insidious at the cinema last week it inspired me to create a Horror Movie and use my imagination to design something.
The theme is quite simple, The girl is haunted by...
I'd look at what he specialises in and work from there. I was recruited to design a logo for a female photographer and she specialised in architecture so I worked that in with an actual camera. She got it straight away and loved it. I'll try and dig it out so you can see what I mean.
Good job...
