Hi mpjd, Thanks for your advice. I've already started emailing agencies directly, as well as scouring relevant job sites and contacting creative recruitment agencies, so hopefully I'll find the perfect job soon! Cheers

    Creative Recruitment Websites

Hi Everyone, I'm currently looking for a new job in a creative agency (graphic / web designer). Does anyone have any recommendations of recruitment websites for the creative industry? I've come across a couple, but they either have lots of jobs in London (a bit far for me) or they have hardly...

    Wordpress theme development frameworks

Personally I always use Gantry which is made by RocketTheme. It's open source and has a huge amount of pre-built widget positions, with the ability to create 'overrides' allowing you to really customise the layout. Gantry Framework - Flexible and Powerful Web Platform

Problem with 100% width in FF for Windows

I've just built a little one page site, and cross-browser compatibility seems pretty good, except the fixed header isn't full-width in Firefox for Windows (3.0, 3.6 or 4.0). Here is the site: Bronsens Financial Services | Independent Financial Advisers Anyone got any idea what I'm doing wrong...

    PDF conversion advice please!!

I haven't tried this myself, so don't blame me if it's as awful as their website might suggest it is, but you could give this site a go: Convert pdf to word - Convert pdf to doc - Convert online pdf to word

    Glastonbury Festival

Does anyone know what font the Glastonbury festival logo uses, or do you know of anything similar? A friend of mine think's he's very clever and is holding his own festival this year, called GlasDANbury, and wants to get some wristbands done (very sad I know!), so I've been tasked with putting...

Post a photo of your work space

I've read tonnes of these type of threads - I don't know why but other people's workspaces fascinate me! But up until now I've never actually posted mine... so here it is in all it's glory!

    .

I'm pretty sure it's 'Handwriting - Dakota', but with a thin stroke to bulk it up a bit (it only comes in one weight). I'm also pretty sure it's a free font - Google it!

    Recreating this simple effect

I'm not sure I would actually want to work for a client who wants to continue using that logo! I would seriously try and get them to let you put something new together, even if it was based on that one but without the shocking gradient and terrible typography - you could knock something better...
