what size should i make my website?

One of the 'hot topics' within the web design industry at the moment is 'Responsive Web Design', which is about how sites should not be designed with a fixed sized canvas is mind, but instead be flexible for different browser sizes. To better illustrate what I mean try resizing your browser...

Please tell us what you think :-)

It has an original feel to it, which makes it stand out from a lot of other sites. I'm not sure about the text in the "Promo code" button being in italics though. On a technical note, the links to your blog and tutorial sections are broken. Currently they result in bringing up a server error.

    Website Feedback

Following on from garlex comment, I would experiment with trying to make the body copy stand out a little bit more. Maybe change the colour/brightness of the background or of the text itself. Overall it's a nice clean design that looks very good already!

Old face with a brand new site..

I think the home page needs to be more visual as it's lacking that factor for me! I would suggest including an example next to each of the 3 levels of logos that you offer, as that would be a lot more immediate to people rather than just text.

Finally Finished - joomla + flash

Overall it's pretty good. Nice and clean, with clear headings and the flash animations add a bit of life to what could otherwise be a fairly plain site. However a few little things I feel would make the site better are: • The oversized quote mark on the testimonial is very pixilated. Saving it...

    Brand spanking new design!

After two and a half years, I finally redesigned my personal site Liamjaydesigns.com. I launched the original site way back in October 2007, with an updated design in late 2008 and haven’t made any changes since then. I felt that it was about time to put the previous design in retirement. It...

Agree with previous comments about the poor/dated looking design, and just want to add that there is display problems in Chrome, Firefox and Opera browsers.

    Help with Ninja Logo

I know it's a different style of art, but it might be worth taking a look at the WooThemes website as they use a ninja character as there site mascot to great affect.

Site elements jumping to the left in IE7

Ok thanks, for looking though. I've discovered it was due to the “Layout” IE/Win proprietary concept that determines how elements draw and bound their content. I found that by removing "position: relative;" from the element that it fixed the jumping issue so I might of fixed it before you viewed...

Site elements jumping to the left in IE7

I've been making a site but have come across a problem that only seems to exist in IE7. When you click in a form file or hover over a link it causes some of the elements to "jump" a few pixels to the left! You can see what I mean at this link (View using IE7)...

    Browser Compatibility?

I second everything that Corrosive suggests. Tables are also not great because they stop the code from being semantic and instead make it a source order dependant layout e.g: Elements that need to be in the top left need to be first in the markup. Elements that need to be in the bottom right...

    Wordpress Noob

I'm unfamiliar with the ephoto theme but depending on the theme is could be being generated by a number of different php actions. For example a common one would be: <?php the_author() ?> In the default theme that comes with wordpress I think the php is: <?php twentyten_posted_on(); ?> Simply...

Don't you hate it when you have to insert a special character into the design your working on and you end up spending a good few minutes looking for where it's located in the program your working in? I stumbled across this handy web page a little while ago and it's become my automatic port of...
