    Feedback on my site please

I, personally, am not a giant fan of the background. It feels slightly too "generic web 2.0 stripes." I would make the colors with a less intense contrast, and maybe expand the width a little bit? White space is good, but your background is a little too loud right now.

Alrighty. I'll try and come up with something "less american," or rather, less direct and pushing the limits. Thanks for the tips everybody!

    New to Mini-Site Design

@jHouse I actually dunno how it got bigger. It looked fine before but I guess the header divider is stretching it out? ...stereotypical? Thanks for the input guys. I'll try and tone everything down.

    typography poster

I love the use of texture you've got going on! The usage of contrasting bold text is really awesome to. I gotta say, I can't really add any critique. It looks great.

    New to Mini-Site Design

Okay so I've recently begun attempting to improve my standard HTML/CSS design (too much wordpress lately...blah!) and have been trying to learn how to create effective "mini-site" designs. This is my first particularly "in depth" attempt, and so any resources, critique, thoughts, reminders...

    WIP personal portfolio

Why not add a texture to the footer? That could look kind of cool. As for the "something here" parts...maybe testimonials? It's a really awesome design so I'm not sure what to comment on.

Mac Vs PC for web design

I think I work faster on a mac just because most of the programs are built to cross relate better than windows. I think windows hates me but I like the power that the PC packs.

    Logo Vectorisation

Hey, try vector magic. Vector Magic | Precision Bitmap To Vector Conversion Online. It's cheap and it will turn your uploaded image into a vector that you can download. Not as in depth as working with an independent, but a nice solution.

    Logo Design Critique

What kind of solutions is the company offering? I'm assuming something along the lines of branding, but what kind of services? I'm not really getting any kind of vibe from any of these logos. Purely type based, I like the first font in terms of professionalism. I'm not a giant fan of the ideas...

50 things to ask yourself when designing a website

Nice link! I like the "would you be sad if your website disappeared tomorrow?" question. It's interesting to think about.

    New Portfolio/Blog Site Live

It looks wicked, but something about the outline of the G bugs me. Is there a way to make it just a tad smoother? Also I'm not a fan of the gray background. I dunno why but i think a wood pattern would make it look cool, kind of like the whole site is a business card. Seriously awesome work...

    Do you advertise your prices/rates?

I price by the complexity of the project itself, so posting prices wouldn't work out well for me, because I'd have to do ranges, and every project is different.

    My Blog's Redesign Critique

Okay I see, I'll try it with a lighter shade of blue then. Edit: So i've tried adding more apparent gradients and modifying the text. Also, I put it over the actual blog so the content and stuff works as it will live. http://www.diligentdesign.net/
