Honestly, i'm not sure myself.
I've just started learning graphic design properly, and the first task I gave myself (after learning about elements and principles), was to design a web-app version of a mobile app I developed for a client.
Of course, we've all established that a web app would be...
I used the feedback for the original designs to create a new version, which can be found here.
I also designed all the functionality from the mobile app version.
Ok, great. Cheers!
Sorry, I never explained it properly. I've already developed a mobile app for a client. Now I am just designing a website to do the same thing, just to practice designing.
You are both correct about logging in though - for some reason I added that page when it isn't even...
It is a mobile app. I'm just making the web app to practice design (with the client's permission to use their data). Like I said, I am not the client, so I am not looking for feedback on the app.
Thanks. I think I am worrying about the colour choice too much, whether it is right. But i'll look...
Yes it's a website. What's the difference between a web app and website? And yes it's just images because all the functionality hasn't been added/designed yet.
That's up to the client, not me.
Ok thanks. So, apart from the colour scheme, how about the general design approach - is it suited...

It's a web app targeted at parents, which shows baby-changing facilities around the world.
I went for a soft tone, as I felt it was more appropriate for the demographic, as the aim of the app is to provide...
I've always thought about starting a photography one, but I always feel like i'm going to run out of ideas. Still, it will force me to get out the house and enjoy the summer holidays like a real student should. What kept you persistent?
Thanks, Nativeyouth. I'll check them out and hopefully find some opportunities.
@Tony I'm in Birmingham. I'm guessing there's a lot of events but I don't know where to find them. I went through Eventbrite but it seemed so limited, it just didn't feel useful. YOu should attend one at least. Even...
By searching through threads, skimming articles and reading books, they all say networking is important but I don't know where to find events that are worth going to.
So far I only have my University where I can join societies and meet fellow students. What do you do or what sort of events do...
I've noticed that myself when I read books as well. So far i've only read Onwards by Howard Schultz, including business aspects, inspiration and learning from mistakes. I was just going through numerous blogs, swiping down pointless articles which will just say the same thing in a different way...
Fontface Ninja Available for Safari and Chrome.
It's a simple extension. Find a font you like on a webpage? Open the app, then hover the cursor over the text and the font name will appear. Simples :icon_clapping:
P.S. It unfortunately doesn't work on images. Have fun!
Seeing as i'm a beginner when it comes to designing I want to learn and improve, obviously. I've come across some blogs through my own searching and recommendations, but also books have been recommended. Are they worth buying?
Now this could bring up the discussion of digital vs traditional...
