It depends, yes the code is bloated and it can be a pain for developers. But there are other options such as Drupal, Joomla, Umbraco or even light cms like Perch: Perch - The really little content management system (CMS) - Perch
Just a general question. I know Responsive sites are all the range at the moment but do you think with the latest increase in JS such as Angular, Node and Backbone etc do you think websites will be made with these languages?
I would look at it as a way of "what can I GET from this" After all you are helping but you are also there to learn something. It also adds some experience on to you
I currently use Bootstrap, but I have used Foundation too. i find Bootstrap to be the better of the two but thats my personal opinion. I think frameworks are great, they allow you to build quickly, create amazing designs and the responsive features are brilliant.
I am wanting to look into the field of UI/UX design. Would anyone with experience within this field be able to recommend some resources or books please.
