Influence through visual communication is the objective of the designer sales benefit from this. I disagree about going for the lowest common denominator that's why there's so much trite, safe and boring design in the world.

The above definition is about right for me, but also remember it's one of the earliest forms of Human communication pre dating written language by thousands of years.

I think this year is going to be the end of the brand, (or at least less visibility) going hand in hand with the distrust in large corporations generated by the economic crisis. This isn't a doom and gloom view just expect things to be a lot less blatant in execution. I also think really well...
