My name is Mike Wigen. Illustrator, designer and painter. My artist name is MindGem. Stationed in beautiful Stockholm, Sweden but working with clients all over the world.
Born in 1976, studied art and computer science at NTI, SoFE, Nackademin, Mediaschool and AcadeMedia. After school I coded and designed an online art tool (The Graffiti Creator) which became extremly popular with millions of happy users. In 2001 I started my own company MindGem Graphics and focus on selling my illustrations and designs.
As an artist I have three focus areas
• Painting, traditional realistic landscape, seascape and cityscape motifs.
• Design, vivid urban graffiti style.
• Illustration, Logotypes, characters and backdrops in a cartoony style.
I work in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, Lightroom, Dreamweaver, Premiere. I also paint in oils and acrylics and of course spray paint graffiti every now and then.
