Hi, thanks for suggestions.
I think I will go for more along the lines of what Dave L suggested as it fits better with the icons I have already designed for the site.
Thanks again!
Hi everyone
I finally got my first design job having graduated last year and I have been asked by my employer to design a total of 37 icons for a new website that is being put together.
I have designed all but 3 of them, but I am stuck for how to communicate the last subjects visually...
All the changes you suggested for the websitehave been made and the homepage image has been replaced with some hand-drawn typography as well.
Let me know if there is anything else I can do to improve it.
Thanks evetyone for your advice.
I have e-mailed him a breakdown of the costs and informed him a little of the design process so he understands the time and effort that goes into a project such as this.
I have also given him the websites for a few of your design studios so he can get quotes if...
Ok made more more changes, this should be much better. I've left the about and contact where it is for now until I can figure out which device /browser it doesn't work in.
Corrosive:
I know wix isn't the best in the world, but I was limited to what I could afford and wix offers a lot for its...
Thanks
I'll fix the few remaining problems tomorrow (as well as check it displays properly in the mobile version) and add a slideshow of my most recent work.
Not sure why the contact and about links don't work for you, what device and browser are you using? I tested them on...
Hi Priyesh, I have taken on board your comments and redesigned my website, take a look and let me know what you think (fyi the image on the front page is only temporary, I was going to do some hand-drawn text here)..
In response to some of your questions:
'Projects' were what I did in...
Got a reply back from the guy who wanted the logo and website, he says:
"I think you are massively over estimating the size of the work. I only need a very basic website, I was thinking only a home page, contact page and about us page.

I can’t justify spending anywhere near £500 for it. If...
Thanks.
What I found online is the usual rate for a fredlance designer is about £20-£40 per hour, depending on experience. Since I am a graduate, I was thinking the bottom end of this price range.
Based on this, I was thinking of charging around £500, do you think this to be fair?
Hi, happy new year everyone!
I have been asked to design a logo and basic website for a potential client, but since this is my first piece of freelance work (as well as professional work), I have no idea how much I should charge for my services.
I would appreciate any advice you could give me.
Hi everyone,
I Just wanted to let you know about a website I just found that is dedicated to practice design briefs for people who have difficulty coming up with their own (I know there is a thread on this somewhere).
The website is here: briefbox.me
There are a lot of great briefs and...
I came up with an idea for a design brief (something that doesn't happen to me often) that I thought would be fun for anyone who wants to design but can't think of a topic, so I thought I'd share
Brief:
I'm sure everyone is farmiliar with the fancy logo designs that appear on...
Thanks for your comments guys.
I don't really get ideas while I am working on other projects - I think I just get too focussed on what I am doing to think of anything else.
I have found this book that I am going to try out: http://...
