For a proper startup site you should be asking at least £1000, anyone doing sites for a £100 hasnt got a clue, you would'nt buy a car for £50 and take it on the motorway now would you?

Personally I would go for a photo background template, and get rid of the tv altogether..

You have got to ask yourself what type of client still uses IE6 and is their business worth the hassle?

125 is way to cheap, even for a friend of a girlfriend. I think it would take 2 to 3 days to come up with a really good concept/artwork for a company, logo, cards etc and that would pay about 8 quid an hour minus tax etc your looking at around 5 quid an hour, is it worth it?

Look in to Joomla and Virtuemart if you want a CMS / Cart, if your looking for a top E-com look at Xcart.
