Never posted before, but need some advice with Indesign CS3. I am using it to compile an A5, 48 page catalogue. I am using a PC Dell T3500 with Intel Xeon processor and 3GB of ram. There are around 800 placed, linked images which may be causing it to run very slowly. Pauses between grabbing text and returning to Indesign are prolonged to say the least.
What is the industry standard software to compile such catalogues and larger? and would a mac solve all the problems?
Any help would be most appreciated
