Honestly if the client has no idea what to name their business or even have a business plan that revolves around some sort of brand I would either tell them to come back to me when they get an idea, or offer a Branding / Logo package, this way you are getting more work and more portfolio pieces...

At first glance I thought your Logo looked great, when I came back and gave it a second look my eyes began to go buggy. Perhaps if the roof angle was adjusted in a particular manner to coincide with the text and the black wall, it would look a cleaner.

Hey, Any updates on this since 4/2/2013? I would have to say I like the first one, it has that "Professional" "Tournament" look and feel that will appeal to clients and let them know you are serious about Pike Angling...
