    The no job blues

Once I graduated I had to work freelance for 3 years before I got into the industry... I was knocking on small business' doors (and asking people on music forums and the like) asking if they needed anything creating... I got a few jobs, which gradually became more and more as word spread and I...

    Logo Of The Day website

I like the logo, only thing I'd change is the gradient through it... but eh, like Ken said, so long as the client (and less so yourself) are happy with it, who cares about internet people... they're not even real people anyway... like facebook friends

Ethical Question re: Designing for a Company

'If I don't design this logo, someone else will' I was thinking that... but hey, maybe the logo they design will be *rubbish* and the font will be in Comic Sans?

Ethical Question re: Designing for a Company

yea, I was already 90% certain I'm gonna turn it down. I don't think a name like "Statement" in a grafitti font written in the blade of a knife is a good message to send out. I think knife crime is disgusting and cowardly and I wouldn't want my work associated with it... the apparently the...

Ethical Question re: Designing for a Company

Hi guys, just wondering about opinions on this... I've been asked to design a logo for a company that makes knives, only thing is, these aren't kitchen knives if you know what I mean. Living in London I get to hear and read about knife attacks all the time, so I'm a bit aprehensive about...

yea, just colour them how they might look on screen, but create the colours as spot colours, you should prolly name them PMS 8005 etc too... and when the printers create the plates, they'll know to use the PMS refs that come up if that makes sense? good thing about litho, you can put any colour...

    5 colours indesign document

you can always call the 'spot 1' and 'spot 2' whilst keeping them spot colours and then when you send them to get printed, tell them spot 1 should be PMS7503 and Spot 2 should be PMS8005 but to get both the metallic swatches, create a new swatch "New Color Swatch" from the drop down menu...
