Since you have so many element to focus on to. i would suggest to skip that asterisk or "sparkling star" you have there. Like what you trying to present - neat. So why make it fussy?

It is really hard to imagine what to suggest in here as the business name and the logo mark itself has to be somewhat related. if you have problem deciding or brainstorming the logo itself i would suggest you to google some related subject or pictures on the web for inspiration and start looking...

why not browse for some company in specific areas who have a profile along? can start somewhere there i think. (provided if you think their logo is not that 'appropriate') ;)
Using excel sheet is a pain. You'll need to do all the work by your own (but of course if you're good at all the formulas kind of things then it could be pretty handy)

hey i have this question too! the color difference are so obvious while i have my monitor connected to the laptop. The laptop seems to be em... dimmer. (But no worries now, it totally don't show no color no more :lol:)
