    My Site

brave and interesting design. I'm not sure the logo works on the right though. Also I feel it lacks a focal point. That might be the point but I think it would be better with one.....just my 2p.

theworkof.co.uk has just been relaunched (again) - Tell me what you think.

contact details for sure. Footer contact details are becoming a must have imo. Still think you need to work on the clouds. ;)

if you want to keep the clouds, how about putting them in the top black bar? Something like this (very rough 2 min job!):

theworkof.co.uk has just been relaunched (again) - Tell me what you think.

Hi, I like the site and the work itself is very good. If it were me I would lose the clouds, I think they take away from what is otherwise a very strong geometric design. The work featured is strong enough to act as a design focal point without them. The three headings also bother me ('the...

    My latest uni assignment

I think its stunning. the only things I would say are that with only the left side of the neck visible, the definition of the right side of the face seems too defined. But really its nit picking, as I said, its stunning. Send it to Morrissey!

    How to get business

The key think is speed of response. Getting a minor text change up in 5 minutes is far more impressive to a client than any amount of graphical flair or technical wizardry. Always remember that your clients want a web site to work for their business not for you to get kudos on some design forum.

    Is helvetica overrated?

Good points Harry. I was almost tempted to argue but your totally right that far too many designs use Helvetica straight out of the box (same with any font really). As time goes on though I've found kerning has become less of an issue it terms of font evaluation. It becomes something that you...

    Is helvetica overrated?

Helvetica is a beautiful font and IMO timeless. I wouldn't stop myself using it if it work just because it might seem over used. Context is everything. I do a fair amount of work for BMW, their house font is a slight variation of Helvetica (they got fed up paying each time!).
