But then it never does pay. A few of my clients came to me after using 'low cost' designers, and reaping the bitter consequences of doing so. As many people would testify, you get what you pay for!

Well, I haven't used People Per Hour before so can't really comment on it, but from what I can see, it is possible to do work through the site without doing 'spec work'. The reason I don't use the site at present is that many so called 'designers' who quote for the jobs there are based overseas...

The AIGA also strongly advise not to accept spec work. Infact I wrote an article recently on it here...Why Spec Work Is Bad For Business

I totally agree, I recently wrote an article about how Spec Work is bad for business ( Read it by clicking here ). It really undervalues the work done by designers!
