It could look like a company is re-branding when they actually aren't. This could effect share prices, industry rumors of takeovers. How would you not know this if you're indeed a professional designer?

That is untrue. More and more companies don't even care about a degree in the design industry.

It looks like every other armature tech logo that's been done before. The power switch seriously?

+1 The site design is very poor. The graphics looked dated and old, lack of padding, lack of a clear grid. This is not a quality web design at all I"m afraid.
