Don't be afraid to ask for the money before sending the files. That way you are saying yes, sure you can have the files once payment has been made (send an invoice). Pauline

Light background with dark text for most sites...

I think it's often what people feel comfortable with when they start out and often photoshop is quicker to pick up than illustrator etc.

How about making the text bolder? I would us a heavier font.

Depending on the size of clubs they might not have a lot of money so you could, as others have said offer your service for free for the first one in return for an advert? If you do a good job and it all goes smoothly then you might get paid work with them. Good luck!

..same as others have said really...think about what you want to get across and choose a font that is easy to read as well as working with your desgin. What are your brand colours?

I would keep it on the white...could you make the text the grey to link it in with the top of the site? Is it not possible to change the header of the site? Seems an odd way round to do things but I guess you might not have that option? :icon_rolleyes: Pauline
