Olympic logo copy?

"The Tatil agency's director Fred Gelli claimed that his firm had done extensive research to ensure that the design was original, but conceded the similarities with Telluride's logo. "For some reason we missed that one," said Gelli.

Graphic designer Dan Levy was sceptical of Gelli's claim, however. "These logos are way too close for my liking," he told Yahoo! US in an e-mail. "Even the colour dispersion is nearly identical."

Is this a wind-up? They are virtually the same logo...

I don't understand the hatered for the London 2012 logo at all.
It's bright, it's energetic, resembling the Olympic Games themselves. It moves away from the already trodden 'worlds united' idea.

Fair enough, it looks a bit like Lisa Simpson performing a sexual act, but hey, it's interesting and eye catching and that does me.

I agree that there's a link between the London 2012 logo and the games themselves but it goes no further than the suspicion that drugs were involved.
