hey guys, new to the forum, seems a great place!

Im studying graphic design at university and for my current project I have to rebrand a record store in town its really old and around here it has great character and is well known. My lecturer is looking for intelligent ideas when it comes to the logo, business cards etc.

Im just wondering if you guys could offer any ideas or websites I could look at for inspiration. I really want a unique advertising campaign and viral marketing campaign with unique business card ideas too.

Hey, I was doing some logo work myself a few months back. I saw and bought this book No Rules Logos No Rules Logos: Radical Design Solutions That Break the Rules: Amazon.co.uk: John Stones: Books and it was very inspirational. It covers the main rules which designers stick to and shows work that contradict them yet still work well. It could help give you an interesting and unusual approach to designing the logo you mighn't have thought of before. Good luck with it :)
