Arrow Pricing for Logo Design

Hi, Just looking for an idea of what people think is a fair price for logo design.

I have only been going as a freelancer since late March, so I am currently charging what I would call, relatively low prices. I sometimes run offers for £35 but aim to attract the customer to purchase other things, like business card design etc, which then leads to printing.

But generally I am charging £75-£125. Do people feel this to be too low, or am I over-estimating my services?

It'll be interesting to see people's opinions on this I think

I think it solely depends on how good and experienced you are, if you are good at what you do with years of experience then the price should reflect this, if you are just starting out with only a handful of logos under your belt then you shouldn't be charging top end prices (IMHO, I may be wrong).

I selected £150 to £250 although I would expect to pay anything from £150 to £450 as it depends on many factors.

I put £150-£250 as I think that is a 'fair' price. However saying that, we offer two logo design packages for £49 and £79 mainly to get clients on board. The packages are a bargain and very popular but we really do work for the money! Many clients wouldn't have had a logo professionally designed if they had to pay more. This has meant that if they have gone on to need further design work, we have a good logo/brand to work with. It works for our market

I think it depends on the quality of the logo. I wouldn't pay a huge amount for something if it didn't look good, then again I would be more than happy to pay a larger amount if it did turn out good.

Pricing is always very tricky, but agreed, at the moment your pricing is fair for your offering, and over time as your skills develop you will have the skills and experience to charge more and more.

I sold my first logo for £50 in 2002 :) How times flies, lol.

Best Wishes

Amanda

Well, we charge £50 for a business cartoon logo, we set our charges as to how long it would take to complete the job. The Caricatures take a less amount of time and therefore are cheaper

£150 - £250. A lot goes into logo design if you tot up the total time spent.

Default The client gets what he/she pays for!

I voted for the £450.00+ because a company logo is the up there as one of the most important investments a business or organisation can make. It can be an enormous factor in the success or failure of any venture and as such the time and effort that goes into the production of a logo and the overall branding reflects how serious that organisation is.
Two bits of advice to remember: Be commercial. Peanuts are for monkeys.
