Hi
I've just joined here and thought I'd better say hello. I'm currently on maternity leave from my work but don't intend going back! I'm hoping I can build my freelance graphic design so I can still earn money from home. If any of you have done this yourself and have any handy tips they'd be appreciated :) Suzi |

Hi Suzi,
Congrats on the baby & welcome to the world of flexible working! The only piece of advice you need at the moment is to not stop working, i know it sounds a bit mental but you need to keep your portfolio and your skills as fresh as possible. Allocate yourself some time every day to work on an idea or learn a new skill. You'll find that once you've set yourself a few daily tasks, you'll quickly form a mum routine to make it happen, which is as beneficial for the baby as it is for you. working for yourself is idea when you're a mum- good luck, you'll love it!
