Information Design For Children

Im currently doing some research into information designed for children. Most important information is designed for parents/carers but I want to find something that is designed for the child, honestly educating them about a certain subject or environment. However I have found it hard to find any existing graphics, does anyone know of any designers, websites or books that might help me in my research?

What about things like the green cross code, the sort of stuff they would teach young kids at school?

Perhaps search for "peer education" projects - that's where children, or young people, teach each other.

I did a Google search information designed for children - Google Search which had some potentially useful stuff.
