Letterheadache!

Hi Guys,

I have been approached to design a letterhead for a client. Once complete they want it placing onto a word document for their everyday use, can anyone help with how i do this? Is it just a matter of saving as PDF then placing into a word document?? I'm using illustrator CS3.
