Digital Vs Handmade Graphic Design

Hi,

I'm writing an article looking at as the computer revolution took hold, was handmade design lost? I need to compare work before the introduction of the mac, what the mac did for graphic design and what's happening now in terms of handmade design coming back.

Any help with graphic designers that show this would be appreciated. Thanks.
