Thread: Band logo design contest, £75 prize, plus opportunities for more work

The Neon Madmen, a Chester-based indie band signed to MunkSounds require a logo.

The winning logo will be used as our brand in print, for all web presence and merchandise.

So, it must work in colour as well as black and white, and a list of CMYK and RGB numbers if possible.

There's no real brief, we want to be surprised. Visit soundcloud.com/theneonmadmen to hear our demos from the forthcoming ep to get a flavour of what we're about and go from there.

Prize is £75 (via PayPal) and there's a good chance the winner will get the job of creating our website and other brand graphics, including album art, all of which will be paid work.

Take it easy all.

Why not just find a designer that'll work for the £75 by looking at portfolio examples and choosing 1 designer in particular, instead of putting up a speculative competition? You're really lowering your chances of finding someone to do you a logo for that price, especially on a forum full of professionals.

yeah, TNM you won't make a lot of friends here by offering 'competitions' like Arrivals says, you should just ask to see peoples work and then pick someone.

However I would say that this forum isn't full of professionals, a lot of happy-go-lucky students too. :)
There may be someone who fancies the job.

Guys...this is the competition forum so he can post his comp...I also agree with Arrivals really but if the OP prefers to go down this route, he can...

Thanks to all the designers who sent us ideas, as lot of really good stuff in there, some of you may be contacted in the near future for other work.

However, the winner of the logo competition is Matthew Harris, so congratulations to him.
