Where to Start

lots of jobs for junior designers

really not sure If I can be bothered with university/college

Design is something I can learn

but where do I start lol

You will need a solid knowledge base before stepping foot in a design studio.
Their are many elements to the industry that need to be understood before hand.
A university graduate will know the basics, and this will get them access to a Design Studio,
where the real education begins.

I also totally agree lol

Cheers for the replys guys/gals

I'm doing tutorials everynight from psd tuts, vector tuts etc the uisng skills learned on my own designs

problem is, I think its going to be hard getting a design job without experience thats why I am not keen on going back to college

I agree, I guess all you can do is try pushing some one will give you a break at some point. It will all fall into place. I know thats not what you really want to hear but as long as you push hard you will get results.

Good luck with everything

Best advice I could give is to knock on doors. When I was first starting out I couldn't even get an interview, let alone a job, and that was with a degree in graphic design.

I got so fed up with this that I booked a hotel in London for 2 days and just knocked on doors asking if I could show my portfolio and if they had any work experience. My persistence and cheek landed me experience at a major agency. I worked for nothing but my travel expenses, and was offered a job just over a month later.

Email and calling only go so far. If you want real results, try to deal with someone face to face.

Hope that helps.
