Hey I'm new here :)
I recently graduated from University, where I studied Illustration, and I am now starting out in Freelance.
I specialize in Children's book Illustration, and I would really love it if some of you could take a look at my work and give any opinions/advice/criticism.
Of cause I will do the same for you! Thank you xx

Here is a link to my website, I am a noob so please go easy on me lol :)

Hi, welcome to the forum.

All I would suggest is stay versatile as you're starting out. Book Illustration is difficult to get into, you need a bit of experience first, build up your folio etc.

Welcome to the forum. I really like your illustrations, they make me smile. Your website, on the other hand, could use some help. You're really not presenting yourself or your work in the best light.
Please email me I'm a bit phone-phobic lol
really isn't going to cut it. Perhaps re-think the messages you are giving.

I agree, your work is buried and takes effort to look at. A selection of your best work should be the focus on your index page every time.

I think the design work is great, but you need to have the website looking more professional - don't forget people are paying to hire you so they will want to feel that you are a professional service. If they don't feel that they will simply hire someone else just as good but who has a more professional front for their business. Competition in most industries is stiff.

Look at the websites of other illustrators to get an idea of the sort of information they provide visitors with, because as well as improving the appearance of the site, you need to give users a lot more information than you have.

You don't need to be an web designer to achieve this, you can use a free website template, but just a more professional one, such as those at Moonfruit for example; Free Website Builder - Moonfruit - Total website design control - look at those designs such as their 'minimalist' template for example; let your illustrations do the talking by the rest of the site being very plain and simple, but encased in a more professional design.

Hi Welcome to the forum. Your work is really cool, I like your style of illustration. I do agree with some of the comments posted but I understand that just because your an illustrator does not mean you know how to design a website. You will be working in a very competitive market so your website has to stand out and be individual and memorable. put some though into the sites design and if necessary learn to design your site or hire someone to help you produce something that really pops with your personality and style. your work is great, just make your website great too.
