New personal ID logo

Hey, I made a personal logo last year, mainly for a watermark on photos, but now I want to update it/make a new one. Here's a link to it on Deviant-art and a photo with it as a watermark across the bottom:

I want to make something a little less, well big and more like an actual logo that could be recognized just by a glance. Here's a few logo/design that I thought were pretty cool and could hopefully get some inspiration from them:

PANiWLADCA's deviantART Gallery
GKR Logo by ~OCIQ on deviantART
Creative-Work Logo by ~KanYST on deviantART
Apeiron Band Logo by ~OCIQ on deviantART

(That last one of the shades is just an example of how a simple logo on the arm can be recognized straight away, which is somewhat what I want.)

Anyway, the whole point of this thread is to ask for some help in the form of any ideas, thoughts or even quick sketches ;) The thing that I was never any good at in college was actually the starting point of a logo lol. I'm not expecting people to create a logo I just take the idea as my own, and I wouldn't want to anyway, I like having a finished product of something I've made.
So if anyone has any creative ideas it would be a great help and appreciated greatly :D

P.S. - Sorry for the essay of writing :p

You already have a starting point for your logo by having collated your inspiration together. Logo design typically starts with a lot of research, so now just identify what it is about those that you like. To me it looks like you want a simple, typographical logo, so just get experimenting with your initials or whatever.

Designing for yourself is always harder than for someone else.

I agree with Paul, the ideas have got to come from you. Just get sketching and playing round with some ideas, make some notes. It'll piece itself together in the end. It's tough designing for yourself but it's also a learning curve.

you did say "anyone" - i'm not a designer but just stumbled across the forum and was looking at a few posts here and there.

so here's a random idea from me to kick you off:
your name is relatively balanced (6 letters and 7) so you could have one above the other, in italics and see if you can blend the A vertically into the N. Size wise you could see if the shape could form a neat parallelogram (with the end W and N effectively finishing the 'shape').

not sure you could make it work or not, just an idea
