My First WordPress Video

I think it's very poor.

Unnecessary background music, you keep repeating yourself, you take forever to do anything, you use incorrect terminology, you click all over the pace without explanation. And why use flywheel when its far easier to just install on some cheap hosting?

thanks any suggestion

Prepare and practice your script. Have all necessary screens loaded so we are not waiting for sites to load (you have a very slow connection).

Consider not using flywheel as there are far easier ways to install Wordpress.

Flywheel allows you to install Wordpress locally (on your own PC). It turns your pc (or Mac) into a server so it can run an sql database and php. While this now means you can play with themes and add content without needing a host at some point you will need to upload if you want anyone else to see the site. Migrating a site from your desktop to a server isn’t easy. Once you have done it a couple of times it’s not so bad but the first time often breaks the site when you press the go button.

If you go get cheap hosting (and some of it is really cheap) you can install Wordpress with a couple of clicks. You can then play to your heart’s content from any device. You can let others play or view the site if you want. And then when ready to go live check the box to give Google access.

Self hosting is great if you are a developer and want to mess with the code. For everyone else there is no real need.

Buy a domain name > pay for hosting > click to install Wordpress > add content. It’s so simple even my mum managed it.

I though the whole point of the video though was to "Install WORDPRESS Offline Using FLYWHEEL"... does the video not cover that?

I agree. But those who need to do this won't need a video - they will already be proficient at local installs. Why pay $13/month when you can get your own hosting for less than that and have full control.

If the video was quick, succinct and on point then it might have value. But it meanders along for 12 minutes to say something that could be done in 2.

This is a far better tutorial: https://www.wpbeginner.com/wp-tutor...ordpress-on-your-windows-computer-using-wamp/

There are others.

Well I'd imagine there is a need for the video or they wouldn't have made one right?

A quick internet search proves that there's plenty of info out there on how to do this - so what is wrong with it?
