A3 Printer

Good evening to all.

I am looking for A3 printer for small printings such as posters, invitations, leaflets, tickets etc
I have no experience in using printers and would like to ask:

1. which companies - models are considered reliable
2. which models are considered economical per print page
3. which models have economical toners and drums
4. Is it possible to use compatible supplies? and if so, do they reduce print quality and life time of the printer;
5. what to consider when buying a used printer? is it worth saying?

Thank you in advance

Don't bother. Your local printers will have a much better machine, capable of far better quality. They will charge you less than what you pay in consumables, as they have a SLA which allows them to buy cheaper and use materials cheaper and maintain their machines cheaper than you can.

Strike up a deal with your local printers.

1 and 2 - Personally I bought an a3 printer from Canon that I had intended to use for 'proofs' but in all honesty I haven't actually had a reason to use it for years now.

3 - um that's a laser printer and well I don't think any printing company uses laser printers

4 - compatibles.... I would NEVER use them, the one time I did they killed one of my printers....

5 - I don't buy my hardware second hand so no idea...

A few things i didnt write on my first post. I leave in Greece, in a small place where there is no printing shops (yes its a small place i know). The nearest printing shop is 20 miles away, so 40 in total. They offer only digital printings and they send their big scale printings to Athens or Thessaloniki for ofsset print as i already do. I work as a freelancer and i have my own costumers and i would like to offer something more. What i want is to have my own machine for small scale printings, What do you think ?
