That suggests youtube. Which is the wrong place to be looking. Start here: https://support.google.com/webmasters/answer/7451184?hl=en

All of which is is waste of time. Social media links are all no-follow so will be ignored. Directories fell out of favour a long time ago and again are mostly ignored.

Your site isn't ranking because:
1. There is almost no content
2. You are competing with many others

Google is looking for a site full of informative, interesting and authouritative content that adds value. There is notihng on your site that does this. Every single project needs its own page with a full description of the spec, your thinking, the development process and the final result along with a citation from the client.

Can you provide a link to one of these sites and the keywords you used to find that site.

If you follow the advice given in the Google SEO guidelines you will be in a far better position to improve your ranking.

Google likes content above all else. And you don’t have any content. There is almost nothing on your site that even details the services you offer.

Lets look at your on site SEO.

Google begins with the page title. You have:

<title>Mahmoud Sayed</title>

This indicated to Google that your primary keywords are Mahmoud and Sayed. Nothing there about the services you offer.

Moving on to the description:

<meta name="description" content="A leading creative Graphic Designer in Abu Dhabi providing top quality services for Branding Consultation, UI/UX Design, and Digital Marketing.">

This isn't a ranking signal but it will appear in the snippet so Google will look at what you have written. Mahmoud Sayed doesn't appear in the description so Google has to guess it's taking about you. You say you are a leading designer - so Google will be looking for evidence of this in your site. You say you are a branding consultant, this means you don't do any designing, you just consult.

Now the keywords. Google stopped using these as a ranking singanl many years ago. But thet will be indexed to see if you are spamming:

<meta name="keywords" content="branding, corporate identity, stationary, logo, creative logo, brand consultant, brand guidelines, printing, packaging, brand identity, marketing strategy, graphic design, brochure design, advertising agencies in abu dhabi, advertising companies in abu dhabi, branding agency abu dhabi, digital marketing agency abu dhabi, digital marketing companies abu dhabi, event management companies in abu dhabi, event companies in abu dhabi, digital marketing, web design, seo company abu dhabi, web development companies in abu dhabi, web design company abu dhabi, digital agency abu dubai, creative agency dubai, motion graphics, social media strategy, UAE, icon, mahmoud, sayed, mahmoud sayed, brand experience, media, alsayegh media, start, business, leading, conversion">

12 mentions of abu dhabi - that raises the spam flag to the top of the pole.

And there are a whole load of services in that list that don't appear anywhere on the site.

So before you even get to the content google is already very suspicious.

Your opening statement is:

"I’m an independent graphic designer specializing in brand identity and Web design. Whether you’re part of a large multi-national, small, independent venture, and you’d like to collaborate on the Design, or Redesign of your visual Branding, I’ll be delighted to hear from you."

But the description said:

"Branding Consultation, UI/UX Design, and Digital Marketing"

The two don't line up at all.

And so on down the page. Google will expect to see evidence of all the things you say you do.

Interestingly when I checked the site yesterday none of the projects linked to anything. But they do today....

Looking at some of this pages there is very little of value.

For example: http://www.mahmoudsayed.com/brand-identity-mena.html

This is the totality of the indexable content:

"MENA Data Platform Corporate Identity

ClientMENA Data | Egypt
DateMay 2018
SkillsPhotoshop, illustrator, UX, UI

Description Mena Data Platform" works towards creating high-quality, high-impact, data-driven research from within Egypt and beyond. The center produces its own research as well as coordinates various research projects from around the MENA region, in the fields of renewable energy, transportation, urban planning, health, gender, education, agriculture and data skills."

Google doesn't care about MENA. Google is looking for the words that describe the project. You do have alt text on the images but "Main Logo" is pointless.

That's just a very brief overview of some of the basic SEO features you need to fix.

I need to get my own head around SEO so I'll take the above and look at my site as I don't know my arse from my elbow when it comes to search engines.

BTW....I just worked out your user name.

God I'm dim sometimes. ;) :D

SEO is mostly about getting all the ducks lined up.

This means making sure the title, description and content all match. Linking the pages together so the information flows across the site. Making sure the content is relevant, informative, interesting, adds value and authoritative. Getting citations (testimonials, referring links) adding calls to action and maing sure you have a full set of contact details (Google is keen on this).

There are then a whole load of technical issues you can fiddle with but that just get very tedious and boring.

Think about your readers, tell them a story, seduce and entice them in, make them feel wanted, that you really care about them. Google likes this.

Oh you are right, thank you so so much
But.....

This is just the beginning. You need to be better at SEO than everyone else doing graphic design in Abu Dhabi. It's not going to be easy or quick. Allow 6-12 months of hard work before you see decent results.

If you have tried a number of SEO tools and strategies that you found online, then consider getting professional help. There are a number of factors that must be considered for this, after all. When we worked with this digital marketing agency Surrey, we’re kinda surprised on how many things they checked and adjusted on our website just to implement the suitable SEO techniques for our business, mostly with our meta tags. We also learned from them the importance of good content (and how to use them effectively) as well as proper monitoring of website traffic and keyword trends. And the effects were not instant too. It took a couple of weeks and even months for us to finally see proper ranking and traffic changes, as Google is constantly changing especially with its algorithms.

Good, here you have shared a brief introduction about SEO. Yes, we have need of Alt Text for images otherwise it will not be Indexed.

You don't need alt text, google indexes and ranks images based on the supporting content.

Alt text is required for accessibility and you should include this for people that want to access your site that may have visual impairments or have images turned off. Under the Equality Act 2010 in the United Kingdom if you do not include ALT text you may be breaching this legislation, also under the W3C compliance, you should include ALT text for accessibility.

Please be mindful that people come to this site for help and guidance and we should as professionals give correct full advise.

for example, ALT text is not required for SEO in these terms for Google currently but should be included for accessibility, not all search engines index the same way so good practice would be to include ALT text.

@Simon Rayson - I agree in part but the post was specific to the comment about indexing.

With regards the Equality Act, government advice is:

"All online images need alternative text (alt text). If you use an image to convey information that is essential to understanding the page content – for example, a diagram that explains something – include alt text that gives screen reader users the same information. If an image is purely decorative or is explained in the text on the page, use empty alt text – indicated by”” (a pair of double quotes with no space)."

My emphasis on the last sentance. Yes alt text can often help but is not necessary except where the image is explanatory and forms part of the narrative.

Great update that will aid peoples understanding, yes I agree that the post was about indexing but some people tend not to read the full post or the context.

Search your competitors and try to find backlinks and then go to make link build such as profile with complete info about your running campaigns.
