Creating Product Application Room Scenes

I work for a lighting company and we create application images (placing our product photography into stock room scenes) for our catalogs and website. I have always created our apps using tools in photoshop and now I am being challenged to find a new way/tool/program to help us take these apps to the next level, make more believable. I am looking into adobe dimensions but not sure what else may be out there.

I attached a sample of what I am talking about.

Any advice would be great. TY!

Realistic renderings using 3D programs and lit via IES info. Other than photographing the real thing I doubt you'll get any more realistic than that if done professionally and to a high standard.

That image is a 3D rendering, just not a very good one.

Sorry but what you showed looks pretty good and very realistic, maybe I did not understand your question but as for me everything turned out well!

Can you tell me what 3D programs you would recommend? Also what does "lit via IES info" mean?

Pretty much any high end 3D modelling software (not engineering CAD like autocad) should do it, pick the one you have the most preference to and supports IES files.

IES - photometric information for lights.

In all honesty though this isn't a quick thing for you to pick up at a high standard.
