Hi, everyone I'm looking for a logo design for a bowling team that I will be sponsoring.

I'm having a hard time finding any information or ideas about combining bowling and computer design?

I only have two quick drawing done so far. Need some more ideas on sayings or images that would be tasteful and funny.

Please help if you can. I'm still kind of new at this forum thing and just started my own business in graphic design and web development.

Thank you in advance for your help.

Hi Jerry,

You should really try and simplify the idea. What you currently have has a lot going on, and it won't work as a logo (or rather it won't work well). Think about here the logo will be displayed, how small will it be and in what format (will it be embroidered onto shirts for example?). There's probably a really simple, clever, seemingly obvious way to connect "bowling" with "computers" or "technology". I'd start by writing down or drawing everything you can think of to do with each, and look for ways to combine them.

Off the top of my head, could the pins on a CPU be turned into bowling pins for example? It's a simple idea that could maybe work. That's the sort of obvious connection you're looking for. People shouldn't need to read a logo and figure out what's going on, they should be able to look at it and instantly say "oh, I get it!"

Thank you Paul,

For a little more detail this is going on the back of the shirt my company logo will be on the front of the shirt with the bowlers name underneath of it. It is going to be printed on to the shirt will have a professional shirt printing company make the shirts.

The image will take up most of the back of the shirt. So it's not going to be a typical logo design. I like the idea of coming up with different designs for both and then trying to find a connection that might make things much easier. I have found lots of ideas on both but none that really went together.

Thank you again Paul for the ideas I will try getting some ideas down about 5 of both and see where I can make the connections.
Have a great day Paul.

Thank you Levi,

I really like that idea so what do you think would be a good saying or bowling slogan for that image. Something like "Mice Strikers", "Deleting all of the Mice", "One Shot, 10 Mice". I think I might be able to work with that I will get some drawing done up for that and see what the team think and post them here as well for more advice and suggestions.

Thank you for the great idea Levi.

gutter mice :)

Add an extra pin (so 11) and call yourself something like 'a spare mouse' or you could use a slogan like 'we never keep a mouse spare'

Edit: Think I've cracked it ......'strike out before spare mice' or 'strike out spare mice'
or
'double click that mouse' - two strikes in a row is a double
or
'I'd rather have a turkey than a mouse' - three strikes in a row is called a turkey

This stuff really keeps you awake at night doesn't it @Levi o_O

Thanks Levi,

I really like those last two. I will see what the team thinks. I'm not actually on the team it is my wife's team and they are all women so I will see what they think would be the best slogan.

Thank you Levi, you have helped a lot with getting the ball rolling. I have some good ideas for the image now and some slogans to work with. Now it will be up to the team for which one they like best.
