Illustration Conference in Nottingham

Hmmmm? I'm not too far from that either.

I really like Rod Hunt's work and I used to follow Jonathan Woodward's blog, Location Independent Traveller that he ran with his wife.
Pretty hefty price tag though (£40 early booking and £60 on the door) and there seems to be a lot of coffee drinking so I'm sure there'll be a queue for for the lav's.

BTW. Plenty of good info on the zero2illo site in the resources section.

If I can master astral projection in one week, I'm there! Otherwise, not so much. Ah well.

Looked interesting and I'd have liked to go... but not as far as Nottingham! :(

Does that mean you'll be getting there in your Vauxhall Astra Jim?

Like I said, If I can get a provisional driving license, pass a test, get a full driving license, buy/tax/insure a Vauxhall Astra within one week, I'm there!

Just had another look at this and they seem to have expanded on the number of speakers and I also noticed that the number of tickets is limited to 135 which will make for a much more intimate gig.
Getting sorely tempted by this.

After conference pub crawl sounds interesting.
Wonder what'd happen if over a hundred illustrators got together on the lash.

Watch out Nottingham!

Haha that would be a sight Scotty. I was happy to see this new event getting a bit of a plug on here because I literally wrote and published an article promoting it today. What is it that has you keen to go for in particular? I know that its angled at providing illustrators with new marketing opportunities for their work.

I think mostly because I've never been to anything like this and because it's so close.
Most of these kind of things are usually in London or abroad.
I'm not sure what I gain however as my stuff isn't really traditional illustration.
