Has anyone here insured their Laptop?

So for the intern position I have lined up I am required to insure my laptop. I am quite clueless on who to trust, I have already noticed a few out of business insurance companies with dead end url's and some with a very cheap template monster style website.

Not sure who to trust in this regard.

Anyone have some experience in doing this?

Is this right? Every company I've worked for has forbidden the use of private computers for company business.
