Netbook Recommendations??

I am currently looking to purchase a Netbook and was wondering if anybody had any recommendations? Basically just need it for use abroad, checking e-mails and artwork etc.

Any ideas?

P.S: Why do they all only seem to run XP, is it because they don't have the processing power for Vista?

Any advice is greatly appreciated.
