Hi
I am new to the site and was would some advice on setting up your own business from home if any one has already done this and has any tips. I have 6 years studio/print experience no formal degree, a year ago I was made redundant I did not know what to do next but have always wanted to work for myself. I have done some work for friends and family so far but don’t really have any clients or networks of getting more work in. I don’t know if working on my own was the right choice for me right now and would be looking to get freelance work or work full-time again. But I have been out of the workplace now for a year and don’t feel as confident as i did a year ago. Thanks for your time. Lyon |

You might find my guides to freelancing useful to read. I started a freelance design career from home about 7 years ago and so compiled some of what I learned into some guides;
