Making fonts is so much harder then it seems from the outside.

I'd quite like to make some, but the ones I've started on are all rubbish. I'm half tempted to persist, but I'm unsure.

Is there any good reading about for font creation? On the online side only, I'd rather not get a book.

I guess I'd like to be educated if I was to choose to start attempting to create fonts. Sorry for being a little bit off topic.
